1. Such a beautiful couple of days here in Cambridge!! I had my English class yesterday, and then tea with the whole group. A couple of my friends and I decided that we wanted to go out, so we skipped dinner and went to an awesome Italian place down the street. I got mushroom risotto and the pretty drink in this picture! We went to the club that is right below our apartment called La Raza. We met a couple people there who seemed a little odd at first, but ended up offering to buy us drinks all night! We ended up at Lola Lo again, which is always a good time. Unfortunately, at some point in the night I broke a toe… So it’s puffy and purple right now, but not much I can do about it. I FaceTimed with Ryan and Christie since it was earlier there which was fun 😋 History this morning was a little rough, but my coffee got me through it!! We took a tour of the library after to learn how the books are organized, etc. I walked down the street to the crepe truck and got a mushroom, chicken, spinach, and cheese crepe for lunch. There was an amazing street guitarist singing next to it, I think I’m in love with him 😍 I will post the video I took! Lots of homework tonight, and later, a steak dinner!

  4. So, I woke up this morning to a fire alarm test, which was very unpleasant, but at least it got me out of bed! I took a little walk on my own before meeting my friends after their class let out. I went to the 3rd floor of the grocery store to a cafe and got a little espresso sized macchiato (since I slept through breakfast yet again). We walked around to some shops, got lunch, went to the farmers market, and now I’m back here getting ready for class at 2!

    1) Food truck making crepes! Yum:)
    2) My new UK phone ;)
    3) My lunch, a cheese, egg, and spinach crepe
    4) Some fresh raspberries from the farmers market!

First day of classes was today! A little overwhelming, especially after our first night out being last night. We went on a very long trek after dinner in search of wine and finally found it at the 4th store we tried. We all got a bottle of some kind of cheap pink wine (obviously) and everyone came to my room to play cards and swap stories about UNH! We went to a club called Fez where they were playing 90s themed music. There was a £5 cover charge unfortunately, and when we got there it was practically empty. We freaked out a little bit, but got a few drinks and it started to fill up very quickly. We did a couple “cheers to being in England” shots, met some interesting locals, and even got a little dancing in! One of the girls even had a romantic fairytale moment with a boy she met involving frolicking on forbidden grass (there’s a lot of that here). Since there is an amazing Greek place right next door to our dorm (and walking by/ignoring the smell is nearly impossible) we stopped in on our way back. We got chicken nuggets, which is probably the most american thing we could have ordered 😂

I was so tired, but for some reason I kept on waking up all night. I can’t tell anymore if it’s jetlag, the noise outside, or nerves. Either way I’m glad that I’ll have time for a nap today :)

My first history class was today (British Monarchy and it’s Challenges), and I think I was just as anxious leaving the class as I was going in. I was glad to have found the room without getting lost, and my class ended up only having 4 girls in it. The teacher is British, and seems pretty nice. 2 of the girls in my class are history majors, so they were pretty much spitting out information the entire time (half of which, I honestly have never heard in my life). Part of me knows that once I start reading I’ll get the hang of it, but it was pretty intimidating being one of the people in the room with the least knowledge on the subject.

Anyways, I’m done for the day besides tea time at 4, and dinner at 6:30!!
